The Toy Box Trot, a 1-mile fun run is part of the 25th annual Marietta StreetFest held September 17 & 18, 2016 on the Marietta Square. The Saturday morning race is open to all ages and at the completion of the race, each race participate will select a toy of their choice. These toys will continue to encourage active play and serve as a fun memory of the race. Informational booths with activity stations will be set up in the race staging area.
The Marietta StreetFest is a family friendly festival with plenty of free activities such as a bounce house, giant slide, the sports corner, interactive games, arts and crafts booths, car show and the Grassroots Music Festival. The festival draws an estimated 15,000 people to the square annually and is a fundraiser for the Marietta Museum of History. Admission to the museum is free during the festival.
